Role Overview: General Manager Operations
As the General Manager, you will assume a significant part in overseeing production, safety, and maintenance tasks. Your administration will be significant in adjusting activities to the organization’s guiding principle, driving effectiveness, and guaranteeing greatness across all aspects of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Operational Oversight:
Lead and oversee all parts of manufacturing and production, security, other operations, and tasks.
Oversee everyday functional activities, from raw materials received to complete product fulfillment and warehousing.
Safety, Efficiency, and Cost-effectiveness:
As a general manager operation, you are the champion of safety, work efficiency, and cost-effective operations throughout the company and facility.
Be a leader and show a positive attitude and style in your leadership to increase the company culture and nourish the team’s efficiency overall.
Process Optimization and Quality Assurance:
Assess current functional practices and introduce compelling changes with streamlined processes.
Limit deficient items by implanting quality across the group and accomplishing Delivery In Full, On Time (DIFOT).
People Management and Training:
Lead individuals on the board and training of initiatives to create and empower the team.
Oversee and check the maintenance and engineering processes during production and make sure the equipment and the facility are properly optimized.
Strategic Planning and Continuous Improvement:
The general manager operation is the strategic planner of the facility. With continuous improvements in the areas where required.
Work on projects and capital works initiatives to support business growth and development.
Make sure improvement is continuous, using new methodologies, and technologies to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Add your part in strategic planning of production and execute in such a way that goes perfectly with operational activities keeping business objectives in mind.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
A degree in Engineering is required for the position of general manager operation along with an operations degree, maintenance, continuous improvement methodology, project management, or any related field.
Professional Experience:
At least ten (10) years of experience is required in the Operational management role, experience is key and it can save the company a lot in terms of time and money if the applicant is experienced.
Experience in demonstrating successful leadership skills and completing tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
Industry Knowledge:
Experience in “custom plant” manufacturing settings, displaying the capacity to figure out individual parts and their all-encompassing activity.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills and a leadership style that puts people first
